Job description
Corporate Air, LLC is seeking a detailed individual for a position as a General Staff Accountant. As a General Staff Accountant, you will report directly to the Controller. The Accounting Department maintains and controls the General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Controller with the day-to day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting/Finance Department.
Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with the Finance department’s policies and procedures
Manage the processing of cash receipts, recording of revenue and receivable and work closely with the Executive Team to ensure that revenues and receivables are reconciled at any given time.
Prepare supporting documents for submission to government agencies.
Review expense compliance and tag all eligible costs including AP, AMEX, staff reimbursements on monthly basis.
Review and process AMEX expense receipts submitted by cardholders on monthly basis.
Perform the processing of functional and benefits expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries, if necessary.
Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employer's benefit costs, accruals and prepaid expenses.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age, and be authorized to work within the US.
Aviation experience is a huge plus, however not required
Previous experience in accounting is required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
